This Simple Shift Is Redefining What a Truly Good Day Looks Like

A good day has been determined over the years as being productive, having achieved something and the amount of work we were able to accomplish. We pursue the long to-do lists, schedules and progress all the time. But still so many individuals have finished their busiest days and still feel exhausted rather than satisfied. An increasing mental paradigm shift is slowly altering that definition. Most people are not asking, “What did I accomplish today but asking, How did I feel today?”

Redefining Productivity

Productivity would have been used to denote unbroken production – doing things, checking e-mail, ticking things off a list. Although doing things is important, the new vision considers meaningful improvements as more important than endless motion. When you have one or two priorities rather than ten frivolous things you cut down on the overwhelm. When energy is channeled in a planned way days are not hurried but have a purpose.

One of the significant aspects of this change is being aware of the fact that mental energy is scarce. The focusing is quietly exhausted with over committing, multitasking, and never ending notifications. Developing barriers on working hours, computer time, and social life guard focus. The habit is what makes the average day a place of development. A nice day is not the one that leaves one exhausted.
